Stress is renowned for being one of the largest causes of sickness absence from the workplace, creating many problems for the personnel and organisations involved.
OPS works with both individuals and organisations to alleviate the negative impact of unmanageable stress by offering the following services:
- Focused stress audits to identify the main sources of stress and ‘stress hotspots’ within an organisation, distinguishing between those that are constructively challenging and those that are disadvantageous.
- Recommendations for organisational or job restructure to reduce the negative effects of stress.
- One-to-one coaching to resolve specific issues and to design coping mechanisms to manage them.
- Stress Management Workshops to raise awareness among teams and individuals of the causes and signs of stress, together with helping organisations adjust their working environment to reduce unnecessary stress. These may cover effects of stress on performance and health, “rust out or burn out”, home/work balance, individual fracture points, role-related stressors, prevention and coping skills, and using stress positively.
OPS strongly recognise the diversity of different individuals’ reactions to stress; one person’s motivation is another person’s stress, and so utilises and develop stress management techniques, and so make every effort to ensure that the services provided are in align with the needs of the individual and the organisation involved.
