Development of Competency Framework and Performance Review System
The client is an international fashion and fragrance house. The project was to develop a Competency Framework and Performance and Development Review system for sales manager personnel.
Objectives
- Development of a reliable, relevant and usable assessment system.
- Encouragement of sales managers staff to develop and improve.
- Improvements in performance against key performance indicators.
Process
- Involvement of key HR and management staff to discuss objectives and parameters.
- Information collation through focus groups and questionnaires.
- Feedback from key individuals on relevance, usability and guidelines for future development.
- Once the system was finalised, designed and developed ‘train the trainer’ package for key staff: 2 day workshop in which they practiced the system themselves and went through the course structure
- Feedback process after first round of Reviews to ensure that the system was being used properly, plus statistical monitoring of rating trends for reliability and validity.
