360 Degree Feedback and Development Centre
The client is a multi-national hi-tech aerospace and defence manufacturer. The participants were ten high-potential managers expected to develop into senior level within the next couple of moves.
Objectives of project
- Identification of strengths and best areas of deployment.
- Identification of development areas and useful actions.
- Improvement of ongoing performance.
- Motivation to develop towards more senior levels.
OPS processes for assessment of strengths and development areas
- Off-the-shelf 360˚ assessment, chosen according to psychometric acceptability and fit with client competencies.
- Psychometric assessment of personality and management decision making ability and style.
- 2-day development centre (DC) involving group work, negotiations, presentations and business analysis.
- DC included competency-based feedback from assessors (senior managers) and the opportunity to practice new styles in similar exercises on day 2.
- Psychometric information was integrated prior to DC and fed back by psychologist as part of ongoing feedback throughout the two-day event.
- Individual reports and action plans were produced on the basis of integrated combination of psychometric, 360˚ and DC data.
- Integrated feedback and pointers given as to potential areas for improvement.
- Group Executive Report produced for client to enable planning of development activities.

- Immediate benefits realised in terms of performance improvements during the DC.
